Psalm 23 English Standard Version (ESV)

The Lord Is My Shepherd

A Psalm of David.

23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.     He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.[a]     He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness[b]     for his name's sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,[c]     I will fear no evil, for you are with me;     your rod and your staff,     they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely[d] goodness and mercy[e] shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell[f] in the house of the Lord forever.[g]

    9-1-2019 Wish Fufillment Psalm 20

Psalm 20 English Standard Version (ESV)

To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.

20 May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble!     May the name of the God of Jacob protect you! May he send you help from the sanctuary     and give you support from Zion! May he remember all your offerings     and regard with favor your burnt sacrifices! Selah

May he grant you your heart's desire     and fulfill all your plans! May we shout for joy over your salvation,     and in the name of our God set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions!

Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed;     he will answer him from his holy heaven     with the saving might of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses,     but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They collapse and fall,     but we rise and stand upright.

O Lord, save the king!     May he answer us when we call.

Psalm 19 English Standard Version (ESV)

The Law of the Lord Is Perfect

To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.

19 The heavens declare the glory of God,     and the sky above[a] proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech,     and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words,     whose voice is not heard. Their voice[b] goes out through all the earth,     and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,     which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber,     and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy. Its rising is from the end of the heavens,     and its circuit to the end of them,     and there is nothing hidden from its heat.

The law of the Lord is perfect,[c]     reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure,     making wise the simple; the precepts of the Lord are right,     rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure,     enlightening the eyes; the fear of the Lord is clean,     enduring forever; the rules[d] of the Lord are true,     and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold,     even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey     and drippings of the honeycomb. 11 Moreover, by them is your servant warned;     in keeping them there is great reward.

12 Who can discern his errors?     Declare me innocent from hidden faults. 13 Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins;     let them not have dominion over me! Then I shall be blameless,     and innocent of great transgression.

14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
